Teo's story

Teo lives in Uganda. She is married and has three children, all of whom attend school. Teo runs a retail shop. She has been in this business for seven years and works six days a week. Teo sells her products in a shop, by means of retail. She is requesting a loan of 1,000,000 Ugandan Shillings from MCDT SACCO, which she will use to buy more bags of sugar, boxes of soap, and cooking oil.

The main business challenges for Teo include seasonality, transportation, and thieves. Her goals and aspirations for her business are to own a wholesale shop and also to build her own rental house. Teo lives in a home which she owns; she has access to electricity and piped water. Her major monthly expenses include school fees and feeding the family.
