A loan helped to purchase organic fungicides that complement the protection of her crops.

Dilfa's story

Dilfa is an experienced animal breeder from Santander de Quilichao, Cauca, with 48 years of experience. She owns a half-hectare farm where she has built a shelter for two breeding sows and 16 piglets, which she feeds a vegetable-based diet to ensure healthy growth. Dilfa constructed her shelter using recycled materials, such as old metal grates, wood, and zinc sheets, allowing her to keep the animals protected in an economical and sustainable way.

Dilfa lives with her husband in a house they built together and has five adult children who carry out various daily farm tasks, indirectly supporting the management of the farm.

A loan of $2,960,529 COP enables Dilfa to purchase organic fungicides. These inputs strengthen the protection of her crops and help maintain the quality and sustainability of her agricultural and livestock production.
