Janet's story

Greetings from Sierra Leone! This is 40-year-old Janet from Moriba Town branch. She is a widowed business woman with nine children between the ages of 6 years and 28 years old. Two are currently attending school. She started this business to take care of her family.

Janet runs a retail business and sells palm oil to her customers around the community. She has been in this business for the past 21 years. Janet says that her business is going on well.

She requested this loan through BRAC Sierra Leone to purchase more palm oil to increase her business. Janet says that the extra income from this loan will help to take care of her family. In the future, she would like to expand to a large scale. She says thanks to BRAC and KIVA for their support.
