A loan helped to buy empanadas and cheese sticks and to make repairs to the bathroom.

Maria Ligia's story

At 58 years old, Maria Ligia continues to demonstrate that there is no age limit for having energy and the desire to get ahead. She is a widow and she lives in the municipality of Montería. Her businesses selling fried foods and renting a property have provided her with a way of supporting herself and continuing to build her future with dignity.

Several years ago her business selling empanadas and cheese sticks became her main source of income. Through her hard work and dedication, she has been able to keep herself stable, but now she hopes to go a step further. For this reason, Maria Ligia is requesting a loan to buy supplies such as empanadas, cheese sticks and pulp to make juices and also to make changes to the bathroom of the apartment which she rents out.

This investment will allow her to improve both her business and her property, providing a better service for her customers and her tenants and ensuring a more stable income for her household.
