A loan helped to buy manure to improve his banana plantation yields.


Obed's story

Obed is a 56-year-old married man from Kitezo, Isingiro district in western Uganda. He has four children aged between 16 years and 21 years old.
Obed is a farmer mainly of bananas, and seasonal crops like beans, sorghum and coffee where he earns income to cater for his family.
Obed is a repeat borrower with EBO SACCO, and his credit history has been very outstanding, lately due to prolonged dry seasons he has experienced very poor and low banana yields therefore he has decided to request a loan from the SACCO to help him purchase manure to add in his plantation for improved harvests.
