A loan helped to buy organic mulch, fertilizers, compost and a dairy cow and feed.

Maria Manuela's story

Manuela is an indigenous woman living in the community of Columbe Chico. There she and her husband built a little house with a tiled roof and brick walls. It is not luxurious, but provides comfort and shelter to her and her family. Manuela's children are young and attend school in the nearest city, while she and her husband do agricultural work such as farming and livestock to obtain their income.

Manuela has good land to grow corn and barley, but lacks working capital. That is why she seeks a loan to buy organic mulch, fertilizers, compost and a dairy cow and feed. She wants to achieve her dreams of seeing her family progress and her children becoming professionals.
