Virgen De Guadalupe- El Trapiche Group's story

Elba is forty one years old. She is known in her community for being a trustworthy, hard-working and honest person who hopes to improve her family's living conditions. She likes music. In her spare time she enjoys a novel and at the weekend she visits her friends. She is a street trader (groceries) and she also sells from her home. She is requesting a loan from Fundenuse funded by Kiva as she does not have enough capital to buy sweets, rice, oil, detergent, etc., products which she needs to buy wholesale for her inventory as that will reduce the costs and therefore increase her income. Her aim is to expand her business. She is part of the solidarity group Virgen De Guadalupe - El Trapiche together with Catalina and Ilsa, who work in industry and commerce. This loan will help to stock the business in order to meet demand.

In this group: Catalina, Elba, Ilsa

Translated from Spanish by Kiva volunteer Elizabeth Daw.
