A loan helped to plant more coconut trees, purchase organic fertilizers and insecticides to improve the yield.

Simón Bolívar's story

Simón Bolívar is 48 years old, in a common-law marriage, and has three children, ages 23, 18 and 8 years old. His spouse is a homemaker and they live in the canton of Rocafuerte, an agricultural place par excellence of hardworking people dedicated to the tasks of the fields and raising animals.

He is a very hardworking man who seeks the way to earn daily sustenance for himself and his family and, despite the situation in the countryside being very hard due to the neglect of the authorities and government, he continues on.

He has a farm where he works in agriculture. He has some hectares with coconut crops. He hopes to plant more trees and provide treatment to those he has, as the recent winter was very hard and the heavy flooding damaged many of his plants with pests which are affecting their yield.

This loan is to plant more coconut trees, purchase organic fertilizers and insecticides to improve the yield.
