A loan helped to buy more iron soap and clothes to sell.

Sarah's story

Sarah, a 30-year-old woman from Liberia, lives with her partner and 4 children; they are currently in school. Sarah completed school up to fifth grade. She is a hardworking businesswoman, who sells iron soap and clothes. She has been operating a successful business for seven years, in which she started using her own savings. She faces no significant challenges in her sales and uses a car to transport supplies to her business location. She sells her products Monday through Saturday.

Recently, she approached BRAC Liberia, a Kiva lending partner, for financial support. With this loan, Sarah plans to buy more iron soap and clothes to sell to her loyal customers. She values her business, because it takes care of her family.

Her ultimate dream is to build houses. Sarah is deeply grateful for the financial assistance provided, which will help her to continue to grow her business and support her family’s future.
