A loan helped to purchase more soap, oil, pepper, bitter balls, and rice to sell.

Nelly's story

Nelly is a 40-year-old entrepreneur. She is a widow with three children, one of whom is still in school. Nelly completed school up to ninth grade.

She is a hard-working businesswoman who specializes in selling soap, oil, pepper, bitter balls, and rice.

Over the past 10 years, she has successfully run her business, which she learned from her aunty. She has had no issues with her sales. She works Monday through Saturday and uses a car to transport supplies to her business site.

With this loan, Nelly plans to purchase more soap, oil, pepper, bitter balls, and rice to expand her inventory and increase her income. She enjoys her business because it gives her money daily.

Her dream for the future is to buy land and build a house. Nelly wishes to say thanks.

This loan is special because:

It serves low-income individuals in rural Liberia where few alternative funding sources exist.
