Here in Arin community we meet 36 year-old Aurelia who has a partner and two children. She lives with her partner in her own home which has water and electricity and is located in Calca province, in Cusco department. The main business activities in this area are farming, livestock raising and tourism.
Aurelia has a small restaurant where she makes delicious 'chicha de jora' (a corn-based drink). Her parents taught her to make chicha de jora at a young age and now she has her own sales location where she works with her partner. They carry out their work with a lot of care. Aurelia also raises animals such as guinea pigs and hens.
Aurelia has requested a loan from Asociación Arariwa for 1,000 Peruvian soles. She will use part of her money to buy more jora corn and the other part to buy animals such as guinea pigs and other products. Aurelia is a hard-working woman who has always known how to get ahead in order to improve herself and get she wants in life.
