A loan helped to buy acacia seedlings.

Quy's story

Ms. Quy is 48 years old and currently lives with her family in Ngọc Lặc District. She is a member of an ethnic minority group in Vietnam. Her family has three dependents—her children, who are currently in 8th grade, 6th grade, and 2nd grade. Ms. Quy has over six years of experience in farming. In addition to her agricultural work, she also works at a garment factory to earn extra income.

Despite her efforts, her income is only around $266 per month, placing her family among the low-income households in the area. To improve their living conditions, Ms. Quy is applying for her fourth loan from Thanh Hóa MFI to invest in planting acacia trees. Since her home is far from the center, she has access to organic fertilizer sources, which helps reduce farming costs. She hopes this investment will bring a more stable income for her family. Previous loans have already helped her family improve their quality of life.

In the future, Ms. Quy hopes for good health and happiness for her family. She also wishes to earn enough to support her children’s education and eventually build a new home for her family.

This loan is special because:

It supports women from ethnic communities and single parent families.
