Lydia's story

Lydia resides in the province of Cebu. She is 63 years old and married. To earn an income, she runs a sari-sari (variety) store, selling basic commodities. She has been in this business for 11 years.

Now she asks for a loan of PHP 15,000 through Kiva’s lending partner, CEVI (a microfinance NGO) in the Philippines. She will use this loan to buy groceries to sell in her store. Lydia dreams of improving her business in the future for a better means of living.
