A loan helped to buy manure and Guinea pigs for reproduction.

Nelly Janneth's story

Nelly is a 27-year-old farmer. She's a single mother of two small children who are in school, but this doesn't keep her from moving forward in life. Although farm work is tough, she continues working hard every day to build a better future.

Nelly runs a business raising Guinea pigs. She started raising them in small cages, but with her first loan, she was able to build a room with adequate space. The next step is to improve the nutrition and reproduction of the animals.

Nelly wants to transfer her little project into a solid and sustainable business that will allow her to provide for her children's health and nutrition, and give them a good education.

She dreams of having her own home so she doesn't have to rent anymore.
