A loan helped to purchase more rice seeds to farm and sell rice.

Linda's story

Linda is a 46-year-old successful businesswoman with a passion for farming and selling rice. She has seven children. Linda never had the opportunity to attend school. She learned about the art of sales from her mother and has been running her business for 20 years. With no major challenges, Linda operates her business efficiently, using a car or a kehkeh to transport supplies. She sells Monday through Saturday to a loyal customer base.

To further grow her business, Linda has applied for a loan with BRAC Liberia. The funds will allow her to purchase more rice seeds to farm and sell to meet the increasing demand from her customers. Her ultimate dream is to expand her business, build a shop, and increase her farm. Linda expresses deep gratitude to the funders for their financial support, which will help her achieve her dreams and continue to thrive in her business.

This loan is special because:

It serves low-income individuals in rural Liberia where few alternative funding sources exist.
