A loan helped to improve working capital and buy more goods to boost business.

Josephat's story

Josephat started a telephone accessories business in 2015 in Kariakoo. He started by buying phone accessories from wholesale shops in Kariakoo and selling to customers at retail.

Josephat has expanded his business and is doing wholesale and retail. He buys phone accessories like phone covers, chargers, and earphones and sells them at his shop. One of his dreams is to be an agent for supplying those accessories in wholesale shops. He joined Victoria Finance in 2022 looking for financial support.

Josephat is 35 years old and is a husband and the father of three daughters. They live at Mbezi in a family house. He spends much of his time working hard in this business in order for him to generate income enough to take care of his children and improve their standard of life. Josephat also has relatives who mostly depend on him on food and other basic needs. He is seeking a loan from Kiva lenders to buy more goods in order to meet his dream of selling wholesale.

Since the loan is intended for business expansion overall, the profit generated from his business will support his family to provide for his family's basic needs and support his children's education. His dream is to support his family fully in terms of basic needs including education and health insurance. He is grateful to Kiva and Victoria Finance; he has good character and promises to repay the loan on time.
