Carla is 21 years old. From very young she has been involved in field work thanks to teaching from her father and brothers. In the company of her fiancee, they are establishing plantins of basic grains (corn, beans) in order o have the needed income to support their family expenses. She is seeking a loan through Fundenuse from Kiva lenders to purchase herbicides, fertilizer, fungicides, etc. These are necessary supplies for planting beans during the prime season, helping to improve crop yields and, consequently, profits.
Her goal is to purchase a motor pump. She is part of the Semilla de Amor[Seed of Love] solidarity group, along with Rosario, Jose Reynaldo, and Jose Alejandro, all of whom are farmers.
