Fatmata's story

Greetings from Sierra Leone! This is 47-year-old Fatmata from Grassfield branch. She is a married businesswoman with four children between the ages of 13 years and 23 years old. All are currently attending school. She started this business to take care of her family.

Fatmata runs a retail business and sells provisions items to her customers around the community. She has been in this business for the past 10 years. Fatmata says that her challenge is the increase in prices of goods in the market.

She requested this loan through BRAC Sierra Leone to purchase more provisions items, such as milk, sardines, mayonnaise, etc., to increase her business.

Fatmata says that the extra income from this loan will help to take care of her family. In the future, she would like to expand to a large scale. She says thanks to BRAC and Kiva for their support.
