A loan helped to add stock to the business.

Comfort's story

Comfort is a refugee mother to 5 children and grandmother to 3 who all are school going age and stay with her in Yumbe.

She is a very hardworking lady who has never given up. She is a farmer who grows millet, maize, sorghum, and cassava. Besides the farming, she also has a sewing machine which she uses for her tailoring business.

Through this, she provides a few basic needs to her family, though she is not able to give her family as much as she would like due to limited resources.

She would like to add more stock to the business so that she is able to boost her sales, improve the life of her family and pay school fees.

She is very glad for all the support that VisionFund and Kiva has given her.

This loan is special because:

It helps refugees in Uganda rebuild and sustain their livelihoods.
