A loan helped to buy farm inputs to improve the soil for farming.

Gerald's story

Gerald, a 40-year-old farmer from Kinyamahwa, Kyangwali, is working hard to provide for his family. As a married father of six school-going children, he's determined to give them the best possible life. Gerald grows maize and beans in every agricultural season, but he's currently facing a challenge -- limited capital to buy pesticides and fertilizers.

To overcome this challenge, Gerald is seeking funding from Kiva. With the funds, he's planning to buy more fertilizers and pesticides to improve his crop yields. Gerald is confident that this investment will increase his income from selling healthy harvests and enable him to support his children's education.
