A loan helped to purchase a brushcutter that will make it easier to maintain his coffee crops.

Jeyner's story

Jeyner is a young farmer from El Tambo, Cauca, with 14 years of experience. He lives with his brother and father in a house he has acquired over the years. His son lives with his mother in a nearby community but frequently visits and spends time with him on the farm.

Jeyner manages a one-hectare plot where he has planted over 5,000 coffee trees and legumes that help control weeds naturally. Jeyner carries out regular cleanings using a brushcutter gifted by his father, which has been a key tool in taking care of his crops without harming the plants. However, due to wear and tear over time, the tool is no longer as efficient, making maintenance slower and more difficult.

A loan of $2,268,932 COP will allow Jeyner to buy a brushcutter that will make it easier to maintain his crops without damaging the plants, ensuring better production and preservation of his land.
