A loan helped buy feed and other materials for her catfish business.

Madonna's story

Madonna is a 27-year-old entrepreneur who lives with her uncle in Bolgatanga Municipal district in Ghana. With her previous Kiva loan, she expanded her business. She used the profit she earned to support her daily needs.

Madonna is requesting another loan to buy feed and other materials for her catfish business. She plans to use the profit she earns to reinvest in her business.

She will repay the 'social interest' on her second loan by volunteering 2.5 hours per week as a CAMFED Transition Guide, supporting other young women who are just entering the CAMFED Association by delivering an orientation course with weekly sessions on topics including health, financial literacy, and career guidance.

This loan is special because:

It provides 0% interest loans to entrepreneurs that give back to their community by mentoring.
