A loan helped to buy groceries, canned goods, cosmetics and clothing, which are on order.

Diana Carolina's story

When she was very young, Diana began selling merchandise with her mother who brought it from Maicao, a border town belonging to the department of Guajira. She sold her goods in Soledad and Barranquilla in the department of Atlántico. Since Diana is a very active woman who wants to get ahead, she began to put together her own working capital little by little. With the help of her husband she now distributes canned goods, groceries, cosmetics, informal clothing and ladies' dresses that she sews herself. Her main customers are store-owners and families in the different neighborhoods of the southwest and south of the city of Barranquilla.

Through her business she is the main source of income and, together with her husband's income, they are able to take care of household expenses and care for their children, ages 2 and 7, who they want to see grow up and be successfull. This is their main purpose.

The CrediKiva loan is Diana's first through the Mario Santo Domingo Foundation. It will be used to buy groceries, canned goods, cosmetics and clothing, because customers have already placed their orders and these must be filled. Her dream is to have her own shop where she can display her products. That will be sometime in the future, but for now she has an inventory turnover of 14 days and profitability of no less than 32%.
