A loan helped to buy quality seedlings.

Yêu's story

In Ngọc Lặc district, Mrs. Yêu, a 62-year-old woman from an ethnic minority community in Vietnam, has taken on the responsibility of caring for her sixth-grade grandchild. With the child's parents working far away, she is the primary caregiver, providing both emotional and financial support.

With over 20 years of farming experience, Mrs. Yêu also weeds acacia plantations for local households, while her husband takes on freelance jobs. However, their income remains unstable, placing them among the low-income households in the area.

Since 2021, she has taken out loans from Thanh Hoá MFI, which have helped ease her family's financial burdens. Now, with her fourth loan, she aims to invest in acacia tree planting, using the funds to purchase quality seedlings. She hopes this investment will not only generate income but also contribute to environmental protection by preventing soil erosion.

One of her biggest challenges is living far from the town center, which makes daily life more difficult. In the future, Mrs. Yêu dreams of a healthier, happier family, a more stable livelihood, and a savings fund to provide security in her old age.

This loan is special because:

It supports women from ethnic communities and single parent families.
