A loan helped to buy another motorcycle to help him serve more customers, hire a rider and increase his earnings.

Keven's story

Keven is a determined 36-year-old entrepreneur from Bungoma who works tirelessly as a bodaboda (motorcycle taxi) rider. Married with three young children, Keven balances family responsibilities with a clear vision of expanding his business. His wife, a dedicated farmer, plays an active role in managing their household and supplementing their income.

Keven has earned a reputation in his community for providing reliable transport services, which keeps his customers riding back for more. Despite facing financial speed bumps, he is driven by his dream of growing his business and creating employment opportunities for others.

With this loan, Keven plans to purchase an additional motorcycle to meet the growing demand for his services and to hire another rider giving someone a chance to earn a living while revving up his business expansion. Having successfully repaid a previous loan from ECLOF Kenya Limited, Kiva’s field partner, Keven has proven his reliability and commitment. By increasing his fleet, he will also support the local economy by boosting demand for spare parts and fuel vendors.

Keven’s ultimate dream is to build a well-established transport enterprise that secures a brighter future for his children through quality education. Lending a hand to Keven means helping a hardworking entrepreneur drive his business forward and uplift his community.
