A loan helped to buy pigs and some fodder.

Rasoa's story

Rasoa, aged 57, is a widow. She has six children. She rents an apartment where she lives with her children. To generate revenues, she has invested herself in raising pigs, which has been her work for seven years. She fattens up pigs and resells them. She manages to meet the fundamental needs of her family.

Since her partnership with Vahatra, Rasoa has been able to expand her livestock farming. Revenues have increased, and she was able to do better at meeting family needs and also to deposit some savings.

She is asking for this loan to buy pigs, as well as the necessary feed to fatten them up. The pigs will be sold after a few months, and then she will buy more of them. She is going to boost her savings. In the long-term, her wish is to build a house of her own.
