Sulma lives with her two children, ages 16 and 8, and her oldest son is studying. Sulma makes artisanal bread to sell, a trade she learned from her family and started the business more than 10 years ago. She works from 4:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Her partner helps her clean and heat the earth oven she uses to make bread.
Sulma is applying for a loan to have the financial resources to boost her business. The borrowed funds will help her buy corn and wheat flour in bulk to supply herself with raw ingredients for the production of artisanal bread. She hopes that the investment will allow her to reduce acquisition costs, increase sales and profits.
Sulma's dream is to have a much larger artisanal bakery to distribute the product to stores and have economic stability to get ahead with her family.
