A loan helped a member to buy raw materials to make more improved stoves to increase his income.

Lafia Group's story

Adama is the man in the middle of the group in the photo holding an improved stove. He is 47 years old, Malian, married and has four children aged between 2 and 18, two of whom attend school. His wife is a housewife.
He has been making improved stoves for over 10 years and sells them to housewives for cooking. He makes a profit of FCFA 20,000 each week from his sales, which enables him to pay for the family's food needs. He is applying for a loan from RMCR-Kiva to buy raw materials to make more improved stoves in order to increase his income and pay for his children's education.
In the future, he would like to have the materials he needs to produce quality stoves.
