A loan helped buy décor items to meet her customers' demands.

Ayisha's story

Ayisha is a 26-year-old entrepreneur who lives with her family in the Tamale Metro district in Ghana. With her previous Kiva loan, she expanded her liquid soap business and commenced a business offering décor services for events. She used the profit she earned to reinvest in her business. Ayisha is requesting another loan to buy décor items to meet her customers' demands. She plans to use the profit she earns to support her daily needs.

She will repay the 'social interest' on her second loan by volunteering 2.5 hours per week as a CAMFED Learner Guide, facilitating classes from CAMFED’s ‘My Better World’ program with students at her local secondary school, helping to build their self-esteem and motivating them to remain in school.

This loan is special because:

It provides 0% interest loans to entrepreneurs that give back to their community by mentoring.
