A loan helped a member to buy fish to be resold at the market.

Dioubo Group's story

The solidarity group DIOUBO was created on August 27, 2009. It is composed of twelve women who are all from the same neighborhood. Their principal business involves small-scale commerce. The group is part of the Banc Villageois of MAMADOU LAMINE G..

Ms. NDACK MAI F. (standing at the far right in the photo and snug in a brown scarf) is the group’s leader. She is 40 years old, married, and the mother of four children. And she has her nephew in her care. She has a small business involving fish at the city's central market. And concurrently, she sells fabrics. She has good experience in these business domains for having run them for over three years.

With her new loan, she is going to increase her supplies of fish and fabrics, so as to retain her customers and to generate revenues. Her goal is to support her husband in meeting the health care needs of the family and the schooling costs of the children.

In this group: Soutoura, Ndack Mai, Maty, Awa Diop, Fatou, Khady, Fatou Boye, Anta, Thiane, Arame, Rokhaya, Khoudia
