Monalinda's story

Monalinda resides in the province of Iloilo. She is 41 years old and married. She makes a living by selling dry goods like RTW (ready-to-wear). She has been in this livelihood for two years.


Now, she asks for a loan through Kiva’s field partner, CEVI (a microfinance NGO) in the Philippines. She will use this loan for additional capital to buy goods to sell, like pants, shorts, sleeves, shirts, and other apparel.


Monalinda dreams of expanding this business in the future and becoming productive.
