Señora Genoveva Mariluz and her family live in Olmedo Canton. The area is known for its beautiful landscapes and its hard-working people who earn their livings farming and ranching.

Sra. Genoveva is a hard-working woman who looks for ways to earn an income with which to help her husband to get their household ahead. She earns her living through many businesses: she is an artisan; she paint nails and provides nail care from her home and in private homes; she is nurse and works in that profession; and on the weekends, she also makes eggnog, "manjar" (caramelized condensed milk) and traditional sweets at home. She sells her products from her home and also makes home deliveries to her customers who place orders. In this way, and because of the loans, she earns a living.
