A loan helped to purchase brushes, knives, spoons and other items to sell.

Siah's story

This is a 50-year-old Siah. She is single and is the proud mother of two children. Siah never the opportunity to attend school, and she is a resourceful and hardworking businesswoman. She sells brushes, knives, spoons and other items, a skill she learned by herself.

Siah has been running her business for 10 years and has had no major challenges. She uses a car or kehkeh (a motorized tricycle) to transport her supplies to her sales site and works diligently from Monday to Saturday.

Now, Siah is seeing a loan from BRAC Liberia, a Kiva lending partner. The loan will help her purchase brushes, knives, spoons and other items to sell, allowing her to expand her business and increase her profits. Her dream for the future is to increase her business, where she can offer a wider range of products to her customers.

Siah is grateful to BRAC and Kiva for their support and would like to extend her heartfelt thanks for making her dreams a little closer to reality.
