Anjana, a 26-year-old woman from a village in Kishanganj district, Bihar, is determined to provide her school-going daughter and son with a quality education.
Her husband has been running a small ice cream business for years, selling various flavors like vanilla, chocolate, and cookies from a mobile van within the village. Anjana actively supports her husband in this venture. Their ice creams are popular in the locality, and demand surges during the summer months. They also cater to special occasions in the village.
To meet the growing demand, they plan to expand their inventory by introducing more flavors. However, a lack of sufficient capital is holding them back. To address this, Anjana has applied for a group loan of INR 200,000 through Grameen Shakti, a field partner of Milaap. With this loan, Anjana aims to purchase additional ice cream stock, increase sales, and attract more customers. She hopes the increased income will help her family achieve their dreams. In the future, they aspire to produce their own ice cream to sell directly to customers.
Anjana leads a group of five women, all engaged in income-generating activities, who also need loans to expand their businesses. Anjana, her group, and their families would deeply appreciate any support that helps them achieve their goals.
