A loan helped to buy a new refrigerator to keep the meals that she prepares and sells fresh.

Monica Elizabeth's story

Monica is 27 years old, married, and has three children. She lives in her mother-in-law's home, with her husband and children, in Tambogrande district. This is an agricultural area which is located in Piura province, in the region of the same name, more than four hours from the city of Chiclayo, the capital of Lambayeque region. Monica lives in the central part of this district and has access to the basic services of water and electricity.

Monica's business is making and selling food such as salchipapas (a fast food made from thinly-sliced, pan-fried sausage or hot dog, french fries and condiments), salchipollos (a similar fast food but made with chicken) and sodas. She sells her food and drinks in the evenings at dinner time. Monica has been in her business for two years. She is very well known in her area and has an established customer base. She has a refrigerator, tables, chairs and a sandwich cart (a non-motorized vehicle which comes equipped with all the tools necessary for preparing her meals).

Monica is requesting this loan to buy a new refrigerator so that she can keep her products fresh. For this reason, she has requested a loan for 2,000 Peruvian soles from Edpyme Alternativa. Monica is already known to Edpyme Alternativa as this is her second loan with the institution. She managed her first loan well and has a good credit history.
