A loan helped to buy tomato plants, fertilizer, feed, batteries, and to pay for manual labor in order to maintain her crop.

Sheyla Priscila's story

Prisila is 21 years old and lives with her family in the community of Cruztola, which belongs to the town of Urcuqui, in the Province of Imbabura, located in Northern Ecuador. Prisila left school due to a lack of resources. She was not able to continue with university studies. She works in agriculture as a day laborer on neighboring terrain in the sector, and she has her own crops from the kidney tomato plant. This work generates income to support her household economically.

Prisila is asking for a loan in order to buy tomato plants, fertilizer, feed, batteries, and to pay for manual labor in order to maintain her crop. She must maintain it carefully so that production grows and so that it is of high quality in order to sell it at a good price. Prisila is very thankful for the support offered since her crops are her principle source of income.
