A loan helped to add fish stock to the business.

Ezena's story

Ezena is a refugee mother to five children who all are school going and stay with her in Moyo which is in the West Nile region of Uganda.

When she came to Uganda after fleeing the war in Sudan, she had [lost] almost all hope and was almost giving up on life, but she was encouraged by women who were in the same situation as herself.

She joined the savings group and her life has never been the same. She is a fish seller and the demand for fish is very high in the community where she lives.

She would like to add more stock to the business so that she will be able to sell more, move to the busy market and offer her family a better.

Without the support of VisionFund and Kiva this would not have been possible. She is forever grateful for the support.

This loan is special because:

It helps refugees in Uganda rebuild and sustain their livelihoods.
