Sorie's story

Greetings from Sierra Leone! This is 31-year-old Sorie from the Waterloo 1 branch. He is a married businessman with one child, who is four years old and is currently attending school. He started this business to care for his family. Sorie runs a retail business and sells local food to his customers around the community. He has been in this business for the past six years. Sorie says that his challenge is the increase in the cost of goods in the market.

He requested this loan through BRAC Sierra Leone to purchase more local food like rough rice, millet, beans, etc to increase his business. Sorie says that the extra income from this loan will help to take care of his family. In the future, he would like to establish on a larger scale. He says thanks to BRAC and Kiva for their support.
