A loan helped to purchase an automatic milking machine that will improve the milk collection process.

Leandro's story

Leandro is an indigenous farmer from Cumbal, Nariño, with 20 years of experience. He owns a one-hectare farm where he cares for a herd of five dairy cows, which he feeds with resources from his farm, such as fresh grass, forage grown on his land, and crop residues, providing them with a natural and balanced diet. His cows produce about 75 liters of milk daily, which he collects manually twice a day. This manual milking process requires considerable physical effort, as it involves working consistently and carefully to ensure the quality of the milk.

Leandro lives with his wife and two children in a house built in the middle of his farm. His wife provides essential support in managing the daily tasks on the farm.

A loan of COP 4,132,611 enables Leandro to purchase an automatic milking machine, making the milk collection process easier and improving the efficiency of his work.
