Corazon Alegre Group's story

Adelina is a member of the credit group Corazon Alegre [Happy Heart] and she works selling clothing which is her principal source of income.

With what she is able to earn, she supports her grandson who is in her care.

Thanks to her participation in the group, she was able to acquire the needed funds to expand her business which has allowed her to remodel her house and improve the quality of life of her family. This financial support was key to Adelina becoming more financially independent.

Her dream is to have a stable business and leave a legacy for her children, ensuring a better future for them. Adelina is profoundly grateful for the opportunity that the group credit system has afforded her.

Thanks to that, she has successfully overcome many difficulties and has offered a more stable life to her family, who fills her with hope and motivation to continue ahead.

With the current loan, she plans to buy traditional trousers, sweatshirts, t-shirts, jeans, outfits, and shoes to stock up her inventory.

Other members of the group work selling charcoal, minutas [typical grilled meats], chipas [typical cheese and manioc flour breads], some have typical snack stalls, and a grocery store, among other businesses.

(The man that appears in the photo also is a member of the group).

In this group: Liz Maria Isabel, Petrona, Adelina, Clementina, Delrrosaria, Mariela, Rossi Mary, Maria Nancy, Nora Elizabet, Silvia Guadalupe, Patricia Raquel, Diana Elizabeth, Deyci Joana, Tito Benjamin, Mirta Graciela, Ambar Gisselle
