A loan helped to buy beans, cooking oil and flour to sell to her customers.

Lynet's story

Linet is married and has three children, two of whom are still in school. She lives in a rented house where she has electricity but not piped-in water. Her greatest monthly expenses are food, clothing and rent. For the last three years, she has made a living by selling food to neighbors and passersby. In the past, she earned a living by selling clothing. Her biggest challenge is competition, and her main hope is to someday open a restaurant. She decided to join Yehu as a way to access loans that will allow her to improve her family's living standard. She plans to use this loan to buy more items to sell to her customers, including beans, cooking oil and wheat and maize flour.
