This is Kelly, a charismatic, smiling and very humble young woman, just 19 years old. She recently finished her secondary school education and, with great will to work and support her mother with some money, she hopes to get ahead and in the future have her own house as at the moment they are renting and each month worry about paying the rent fills them. It is for this that Kelly wants to end this suffering and give her mother a house and continue studying for a university degree.
Her primary livelihood at the moment is planting peas and potatoes on borrowed land where, in return, they give a part of the crop. This is an activity inherited from her grandparents, who taught her very well about caring for the crops.
Kelly asks for a loan to purchase agricultural supplies which are very necessary to keep her seedlings free of pests, insects and diseases which ruin the product. She aspires to be able to grow large extensions of crops in the future and, so, to generate good financial stability for her household.
