A loan helped a member to buy baby fish.

Pa Khoang 144 Group's story

Standing to the right of the photo is Thao, a married Thai woman with two children. She lives in a mountainous commune in Vietnam. As her main economic activity, she is involved in rice cultivation and increasing her headcount of livestock, which includes cows, chickens, and fish.

With the loan received, she will purchase more baby fish as it is the livestock she has the most experience raising and makes the largest profit on selling.

In the future, if the business is stable and creates positive value, she will use the profits to reinvest and then pay for her children's tuition fees. Dropping out of school at the secondary level due to poverty, she hopes her children will have a better life via education. She would like to express her thanks to the lenders for this valuable support.
