Karol is 29 years old. She is in a common law marriage and is the mother of two children, aged 11 and 4. She and her family live in a rented house in the Cuesaca area. Karol and her husband work in agriculture. They work with a partner, which allows them to rent more land to increase the planting.
Karol is asking for this loan to pay for onion seeds to establish a seedbed that later can be transplanted to the land. The objective is to obtain their own capital to be able to farm on their own and work to be able to own their own home and buy more land to foster agricultural work.
