Elba Tania is a 65-year-old single mother with six grown children who are independent. She lives in her own home in the subdivision of El Junco, which is in the city of Bahía de Caráquez.
Elba Tania works in agriculture and grows corn during the winter season. Most of the residents in this area raise poultry. She has a few pens in her back yard where she raises chickens and native hens to sell. Elba Tannia sells the live animals to merchants, neighbors, and other individual who arrive at her home to buy them. She also sells eggs. In her spare time, she offers laundry and housekeeping services to individuals who request them.
This loan will be used to buy chicks, balanced poultry feed, water dispensers, wooden stakes, wire mesh, and other materials to repair the animal pens.
