A loan helped to buy dry food to sell.

Margaret's story

Margaret is a refugee mother to 5 children who all are school going and live with her in Yumbe which is in the west Nile region of Uganda.

Her life is much better today than what it was before. She is a farmer who grows cassava, maize, beans and ground nuts. Besides this, she also has a small stall that sells dry food stuff.

She has very many customers, but the stock is very little. She would like to buy dry food so that she is able to boost her sales.

When this is in place, she will be able to increase her sales, pay school fees, and her dream is to start a restaurant one day.

She is very glad for all the support that VisionFund and Kiva has given her to be where she is today.

This loan is special because:

It helps refugees in Uganda rebuild and sustain their livelihoods.
