Maria Elsa's story

This is María, a woman of the countryside and a member of the indigenous ethnic group of Ecuador. Age 60, she lives in the El Molino sector. Her family includes her husband and adult children who are working.

Production of milk has been her source of income for 10 years. Also she has barnyard animals and she farms. She obtained her first loan from Banco Vision Fund Ecuador in 2013. Each loan has boosted the agricultural work with which she provides for her family.

María seeks a new loan to buy salt and balanced feed for the cows, to increase production of milk. Her objective is to keep her business profitable so that her family will not lack sustenance.
