Craig's story

My name is Craig, the founder of Reshape Enterprises. I was born in the US, grew up in Africa, and went on to live on 2 additional continents. This combined with my time in the Marine Corps, has given me a world view that appreciates both our planet and the diverse people who call it home. I'm also a proud girl dad and a Bandit Heeler super fan, which help to keep me grounded and motivated.

I have a Master's in Innovation and Entrepreneurship and have led teams in manufacturing, technology, and design. The unifying thread in my life has been combatting broken systems and processes on behalf of those who use or are otherwise impacted by them.

When I began deep diving into the housing crisis, I quickly discovered that in everyone's focus to get families into homes, very few people were talking about the longer term implication of these homes often being too small to accommodate future needs.

When their needs inevitably change (family grows, older relatives need to move in, or simply more space is needed), the owners find that a traditional expansion is too expensive and difficult. Often, the only viable path is to sell their home to buy a larger house. Rinse and repeat every 5 years. Every time this happens, families lose the equivalent of $20-45K to fees and moving costs and often reset their 30-year mortgage timeline. This undermines a significant portion of the wealth-building potential of home ownership and disrupts relationships and community.

I knew there had to be a better way.

This loan is special because:

It supports a small business owner with 0%-interest, zero-fee capital.
