A loan helped a member to improve her grocery store.

Las Chonitas Group's story

The group "Las Chonitas" is made up of hard-working people who, with great entrepreneurial spirit, provide financial support to their homes. They live in working-class neighbourhoods where living conditions are average.

Such is the case of Liliana, 52 years old, who lives with her children in her own home, which they have built thanks to her business that contributes to the family income and to her children's education.

She has been buying and selling groceries for 6 years. She has her store set up in her own home. With the previous loan, she was able to restock her store.

Liliana hopes to buy a freezer and a counter so she can sell cold meat in addition to groceries.

Together with her, this group of hard-working people is made up of the following: Kathia, Samuel and Heidi.

In this group: Heidi Michel, Kathia Yuleny, Liliana, Samuel
