A loan helped to buy dry food to sell.

Zubeda's story

Zubeda is a refugee mother who has four children. All of her children go to school and stay in Yumbe, which is in the West Nile region of Uganda.

She says in life, no matter what you have gone through, one should not give up, but instead work hard to make sure that they make their life better.

She is a farmer who grows different kinds of crops like maize, millet, sorghum, and simsim. Besides farming, she also has a small stall at home that sells mainly dry foodstuffs.

Her business has really expanded, and she now understands her customers' needs and she is able to give them all that they need./>Through this, she provides a few basic needs for the family and some of the produce from the garden, which she also sells. She has very many customers and the demand for the goods is very high.

She would like to buy more dry food to sell so that with this she will boost her sales and also pay school fees. She is very glad for all the support that VisionFund and Kiva have given her.

This loan is special because:

It helps refugees in Uganda rebuild and sustain their livelihoods.
